Premium Tempo 15 Seater Hire in Kochi: The Size That Fills the Gap
Thirteen to fifteen people is an awkward number. The Premium 15 covers it at ₹3,900 a day — but the Executive 17 is cheaper and bigger. Here is the honest call.

Thirteen to fifteen people is the most awkward group size in group travel. A 12 seater is too small. A 17 seater feels like you are paying for seats nobody will sit in.
That gap is why the 15 seater exists in our fleet, at ₹3,900 a day. It is a Premium vehicle — the Executive range covers 10, 12, 17, 19 and 26, so there is no cheap 15.
Which creates the honest tension this post has to deal with.
The tension
Premium 15 — ₹3,900 a day, 15 seats. Executive 17 — ₹3,300 a day, 17 seats.
The Executive 17 is ₹600 a day cheaper and holds two more people.
On pure arithmetic, the 17 wins and it is not close. Per seat, the 17 is ₹194 a day against the 15’s ₹260.
So why would anyone book the 15?
Because premium is not about seats. It is about the interior, and a group of fourteen that wants a better-finished vehicle at roughly its own size will pay for it. That is a legitimate choice — it is just a choice about comfort, and it should be made knowingly rather than by accident.
My honest recommendation
If value is the priority: book the Executive 17 at ₹3,300 for thirteen to fifteen people. It is cheaper, bigger, and the two spare seats become luggage space, which is genuinely useful. This is what I would book for most groups.
If the interior matters: the Premium 15 at ₹3,900 is the right vehicle, and the ₹600 a day is the price of the finish. Long trips with adult passengers are where that pays off.
What I would not do is book the Premium 15 assuming it is the economical way to seat fourteen people. It is the comfortable way. The economical way is the Executive 17.
What fourteen people actually need
Fourteen passengers with holiday luggage is roughly the point where a 12 seater fails and a 15 or 17 becomes necessary. Count it:
- Fourteen people need fourteen seats.
- Fourteen people with bags need fourteen seats and about six cubic feet of luggage space nobody is sitting in.
- A 15 seater manages it, barely. A 17 seater manages it with room to move.
For a one-night Vagamon or Thekkady trip, the 15 is fine. For anything four days or longer, take the 17 and accept that the two spare seats are doing real work holding bags.
The 15 seater’s real niche
There is one trip shape where the Premium 15 makes complete sense and the arithmetic stops mattering: a one-night or day trip with thirteen to fifteen people who want a good vehicle.
The distance is short, so the daily gap against a bigger Executive is small in absolute terms. A single night out at Vagamon or a full local day hire means one day of premium, not five. The group is exactly the size the vehicle is built for. Nobody is squeezed and nobody is paying for four empty seats.
That is the trip. Long trips push the rate difference up until it dominates, and larger groups push you towards the 17 or the 19 where the space is cheaper.
If you have fourteen people for a two-night Thekkady weekend and the interior matters, the Premium 15 is the right vehicle and I would happily book it. Fourteen people for five days to Kanyakumari, and I would steer you to the Executive 17 and tell you to spend the difference on the trip.
One last point: fifteen seats is a size, not a promise. If your group grows by two before the trip, tell us — you will want the 17, and the Executive 17 is cheaper anyway. Better to change the booking than to squeeze.

Common questions
- What does a Premium 15 seater tempo traveller cost in Kochi?
- ₹3,900 per day with 100 km included per day. A 1 night / 2 day package is ₹7,800, extra km is ₹25, and driver allowance is ₹700 per day extra.
- Is a 15 seater or a 17 seater better for fourteen people?
- For value, the 17 — it is ₹3,300 against ₹3,900 and holds two more. For comfort, the Premium 15, if the interior matters more to you than ₹600 a day.
- Should I book a 12 or 15 seater for thirteen people?
- The 15. Thirteen people in a 12 seater means the last row is luggage and two passengers are badly seated. If you want to stay cheap, the Executive 17 at ₹3,300 is better value than the Premium 15 at ₹3,900.
- Why is the 15 seater premium only?
- In our fleet the 15 seat size is offered as a Premium vehicle. The Executive range runs 10, 12, 17, 19 and 26.
