Urbania 10 Seater Hire in Kochi: The Vehicle You Can Stand Up In
Force Urbania at ₹5,500 a day — the most expensive way we move ten people. What you get for it, and why the rate is what it is.

The Urbania is the vehicle people ask about when they want something that does not feel like a shared van. It also has the most surprising rate on our card, so let us start there.
₹5,500 a day for ten seats. That is ₹550 a seat, more than double the Executive Tempo 10 at ₹280 a seat. It is the most expensive way we move ten people, by a distance.
There is a reason for that, and it is worth understanding before you decide it is overpriced — or before you book it without realising what you are buying.
What an Urbania actually is
The Force Urbania is a newer generation of Indian passenger van. The key difference from a Tempo Traveller is the roof height. You can stand up and walk in an Urbania. You cannot in a Tempo.
That single fact changes how a trip feels. Passengers can get up, move to the back, fetch something from a bag without climbing over three people. On a four-hour drive with a family or a group of friends, that is a genuine difference, and it is exactly what people mean when they say a vehicle is comfortable.
Add a better-finished interior and a seating layout designed around fewer passengers in more space, and you have the case for the rate.
Is it worth ₹2,700 a day over the Executive 10?
On a two-day trip, the Urbania costs ₹2,700 a day more than the Executive Tempo 10 — ₹5,400 across the trip.
For that, you get headroom, a better cabin, and a vehicle that most passengers will notice immediately.
Whether it is worth it depends on who is travelling:
- A family with elderly parents — yes. Being able to stand and move matters.
- A group of adults on a long hill trip — usually yes.
- A corporate group moving clients — yes, and often the point.
- Eight children on a school run — no. Nothing about it is necessary.
- A short airport transfer — no. Forty-five minutes does not need headroom.
It is not a capacity vehicle
The one mistake to avoid: booking the Urbania 10 for ten people with luggage and expecting space.
It seats ten. It does not seat ten and their holiday luggage comfortably, any more than a Tempo 10 does. The Urbania’s advantage is the quality of the space, not the quantity.
If you need quantity — more seats, more luggage volume — the money goes further elsewhere in our fleet. A 17 seater Executive is ₹3,300 a day and holds seven more. An Urbania 15 at ₹6,000 holds five more.
Note also that the driver allowance is ₹1,000 a day for the Urbania, against ₹700 for the tempo travellers, because these are different vehicles to staff. On a three-day trip that is an extra ₹900 on top of the daily rate difference.
Two Urbanias, one platform
The Urbania comes in two specifications in our fleet, and the difference is entirely in the cabin.
Urbania 10 — ₹5,500 a day. Walk-in headroom, the higher roof, a good modern interior. This is the one in most of the photos you will see of an Urbania.
Premium Urbania 10 — ₹6,500 a day. The same ten seats and the same footprint, with a further step up in seating, finish and fittings.
Both charge a driver allowance of ₹1,000 a day and ₹30 to ₹32 per extra kilometre, against ₹700 and ₹23 for the tempo travellers. That is the true cost of the Urbania class, and it is worth adding up over a multi-day trip rather than reading the daily rate alone.
If you are choosing between them, the question is the same one that applies across our whole premium range: will your passengers actually notice the difference in the inside? On a long trip with adults, probably. On a two-hour transfer, certainly not.

Common questions
- What is a Force Urbania?
- A modern Indian passenger van with a higher roof and walk-in headroom, built for comfort rather than maximum seats. Ours is the Urbania 10 Seat at ₹5,500 a day.
- What does an Urbania cost to hire in Kochi?
- ₹5,500 per day for the 10 seater with 100 km included per day. A 1 night / 2 day package is ₹11,000, extra km is ₹30, and driver allowance is ₹1,000 per day.
- Why is the Urbania so much more than a Tempo Traveller?
- It is a newer, more expensive vehicle to buy and maintain, with a better interior and standing headroom. A 10 seater Urbania is ₹5,500 a day against ₹2,800 for an Executive Tempo 10.
- Is the Urbania cheaper than an Innova?
- For ten people, yes. One Urbania at ₹5,500 a day replaces two cars. For four people it is far more expensive and the wrong choice.
