Urbania 15 Seater Hire in Kochi: The Big Premium Van, and Who Actually Needs It
₹6,000 a day for fifteen seats with walk-in headroom. The most expensive per-day vehicle we run — here is the trip it is built for, and the one it is not.

If money is the question, this vehicle is never the answer. ₹6,000 a day for fifteen seats is ₹400 a seat — more than double the Executive 17’s ₹194, and the most expensive per-day vehicle we run.
If comfort is the question, it may well be. So this post is about telling those two questions apart.
What you are buying
The Urbania 15 is the large version of our walk-in van. Fifteen seats in a cabin with standing headroom and a premium interior — meaning passengers can move around, and the seating is laid out with more space per person than a tempo traveller of the same capacity.
That is the whole value proposition, and it is a real one. Compare it to a 17 seater Tempo at ₹3,300: the Tempo holds two more people and costs ₹2,700 a day less. What it does not have is headroom, or the finish.
So the Urbania 15 is a comfort purchase at scale. That is not a criticism. It is simply what it is, and knowing that is the difference between choosing it deliberately and being confused by the rate.
The trips it is built for
Long journeys with adults. Kovalam, Kanyakumari, Rameswaram — the multi-day routes where the vehicle is your whole day. On a five-day run, ₹6,000 a day is ₹30,000 in rate, and for a group that wants the best cabin for that distance, it is money spent deliberately.
Groups with older passengers. Walk-in headroom is not a luxury for someone with a bad knee. It is the difference between getting in and out comfortably and not.
Client and guest movement. If you are moving people you want to impress, this is the vehicle that does it.
Corporate offsites where the travel is part of the package and the group is paying for a good day out.
The trips it is not for
Three people. Obviously. But also short transfers, where the headroom is invisible.
Groups on a budget with more people than seats. Fifteen people at ₹6,000 is ₹400 a head. The same fifteen in an Executive 17 at ₹3,300 is ₹220 a head, with two spare seats for luggage. If the trip is about the destination and not the vehicle, the 17 is the smarter booking every time.
Hill trips with a tight itinerary. A large vehicle on the Munnar ghat takes the hairpins slowly.
The simple test
Ask yourself one question. Would your group rather have the nicest possible cabin, or the most seats for the money?
If the cabin wins, this is your vehicle.
If the seats win, book the Executive 17. It costs less. It holds more. It gets you there at the same time.
That is the whole decision. Everything else is detail.
On a long trip the gap grows. Three days is ₹6,000 in rate difference before allowance. Five days is ₹10,000. That is a real holiday’s worth of money for a better inside, and only you can say whether your group wants to spend it that way.
Long routes are where the Urbania argues for itself. Short ones are where it does not.
The seats are the same size either way. The cabin is what you are paying for.
One practical note: book early in season. Large premium vehicles are the first to go in December and around Onam, and there are far fewer of them than there are tempo travellers.
What it costs
- 1 Night / 2 Days — ₹12,000, 200 km included
- 2 Nights / 3 Days — ₹18,000, 300 km included
100 km included per day, counted from the garage and back. Extra km is ₹30. Driver allowance is ₹1,000 per day for the Urbania. Tolls and parking inside Kerala are free.
On a three-day trip, the Urbania 15 runs ₹18,000 in rate plus ₹3,000 in allowance — ₹21,000 all in. The Executive 17 on the same trip is ₹9,900 plus ₹2,100. That is the gap you are choosing to pay, and it should be for a reason.

Common questions
- What does an Urbania 15 seater cost in Kochi?
- ₹6,000 per day with 100 km included per day. A 1 night / 2 day package is ₹12,000, extra km is ₹30, and driver allowance is ₹1,000 per day.
- Is the Urbania 15 better than a 17 seater Tempo?
- They are different buys. The Urbania 15 is ₹6,000 a day with walk-in headroom and a better cabin; the Executive 17 is ₹3,300 and holds two more. One is comfort, the other is value.
- How many people fit in an Urbania 15 with luggage?
- Fifteen seats. With holiday luggage, thirteen to fourteen comfortably.
- Why is the driver allowance higher for the Urbania?
- It is ₹1,000 per day against ₹700 for tempo travellers, because the Urbania is a different class of vehicle to staff and operate.
